New Year, New Possibilities
New Year, New Possibilities
2019 was incredible. My bags were very well received and now feature in most of my collections.
2020 is going to be about refinement and taking risks.
Refinement
Refinement stage one started over the Christmas holidays. I have now mounted each print in my shop and will be gradually adding these as options in my shop. Each print is mounted with a backboard to keep everything flat and sturdy, ready for you to pick a frame that sits beautifully in your home. If you live in the Newcastle upon Tyne area, you can message me about Framing options and I will deliver the framed print myself.
Refinement stage two will involve printing all new block prints in oil based inks - Cranfield Safewash Oils to be specific. These inks give more depth of colour and are fade proof. They take a lot longer to dry but the results are worth it. I have just invested in some gold ink. The first job with this ink is to do a new run of my Honey Bee print. After that, I’ll be experimenting with some new funky colour ways.
Taking Risks
Any progress worth making is likely to involve some sort of risk. 2019 was all about getting my websites in check. I have decided that 2020 is the time to put myself out there more so I will be looking into more possibilities to exhibit my work as well a widening the net market wise. I have already submitted work for a new exhibition space in the North West as well as a pop up Art sale (also in the North West. As that is where I am from, I may also get to squeeze in some more family time too - bonus!
What worthwhile risks will you be taking this year?
