ART COLLECTORS’ FAQS - How limited are your limited editions?
What is a limited edition original print?
A limited edition original print is a hand-pulled artwork, made using a traditional printmaking technique—like linocut—where each print is created one at a time, by hand. It’s not a copy or a digital reproduction, but a true original in its own right.
Each piece in the edition is part of a small family of artworks—individually inked, pressed, and signed by me, the artist. The number of prints is fixed, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. That’s what makes them special: you’re not just collecting a beautiful piece—you’re owning a moment in the making, a part of the process, and something that will never be made quite the same way again.
It’s art with soul, made slowly and shared with joy.
How limited are editions from The Peacock & The printmaker?
Where a print is identified as limited edition then there were between 2 and 20 made. Every product description tells you how many were printed in the edition. You can see the exact edition number in the bottom left corner of each print.
Where pieces are identified as reproductions, they have been printed digitally and are created in an open edition (meaning that they are printed as many times as demand requires - no fixed edition number).
