Christmas Wrapping Inspiration

Christmas Wrapping Inspiration

Even the simplest gift can seem all the more special when it’s wrapped with care. That doesn’t mean you need to spend a lot on wrapping paper and takes ages folding. There are lots of ways to add that finishing touch that don’t break the bank.

I’m going to share with you how I do it at The Peacock and The Printmaker as well as showing you how some of my creative friends do it.

Eco Friendly Wrapping

Here at The Peacock & The Printmaker, I always go for eco friendly Kraft wrapping paper tied up with string and a stick of cinnamon. It’s simple but effective and it’s really easy to personalise. Grab some festive stamps and an ink pad to add some pattern or use fancy handwriting to add a name - handwritten anything makes it more personal!

Adding the cinnamon stick brings in an extra sensory buzz for the recipient and having the string not only increases the excitement but it also means there’s no need for sellotape.

TIP: If you can’t do without tape then use wash tape - it’s biodegradable!

Keeping it Simple

At The Railway Shop they keep it simple and elegant with layers of tissue paper and a branded sticker.

“We wrap all our orders all year round to show we love our stuff and hope our customers do too. We use our company colours although I go easy on the black at Christmas!”

What I love about this is the wrapping that looks like a cracker. It’s really easy to achieve using some string and it’s a fun shape for the festive season. What’s more - it’s actually easier than getting a neat envelop fold!

Going Traditional

Rubie’s Natural offer wrapping on gift bundles all year round. At Christmas they add a festive touch with some classy wrapping paper and a string tied in a bow.

When you buy from Drawn by Rhiannon at Christmas (as I have done for the last two years) you get your gorgeous gifts wrapped in festive kraft paper, tied with red twine and finished off with a cinnamon stick and jingle bell. She’s bringing Polar Express vibes. Can it get more Christmassy than that?

Feeling Inspired?

I hope this has inspired you and helped you to feel less overwhelmed by the pile of wrapping. Let me know what you like the look of and which style you’ll be pinching.

Whatever you go for, remember that Christmas is about family and memories so pop on some great music, pour a glass or mug of something yummy and enjoy it.
