Christmas Range 2021 Questions Answered

Christmas Range 2021 Questions Answered

It’s become somewhat of a tradition in our household for my husband and I to invest in a new Christmas tree ornament each year. One year, we bought it in October from Disneyland Paris, another year, I splurged in Liberty on an ornate bling purple bauble. The point is that we go for quality over quantity and each item becomes a family keepsake that brings back happy memories every year..

Our first Christmas together was on a very small budget and we bought the cheapest set of baubles we could then gradually fazed them out as the years went by. 18 years into our relationship, we now have a Christmas tree full of memories.

This year, I have created a small collection of high quality wooden tree ornaments  and cards featuring some of my favourite festive and just for fun designs.

I went live on social media for a Q & A during launch week and thought I’d share some of that with you in this blog. Read on to find out:

How are they made?

The metallic copper and deep mulled wine colour combo were deliberately chosen for their grown up cosy glam feel. They’re classic Christmas done in a grown up way.

Cards

The cards a made using burgundy card stock and Cranfield Colours Traditional Copper Relief Ink. Each design is printed from a hand carved original Lino block and the cards come with Kraft envelopes, which compliment the colours perfectly.

Ornaments

The ornaments come in two sizes but both are made in the same way. I paint the plywood slices with Dulux paints then hand print the design onto the painted wood with a a hand carved original Lino block. Then I hand paint the edge of each ornament with the Cranfield Colours Traditional Copper Relief Ink to add that touch of extra glow. Finally, I add a natural twine loop for hanging.

What are they made of?

My cards and ornaments are made using high quality @cranfieldcolours metallic inks that give the most glorious glow against the Christmas lights.  These inks were chosen because they produce the most beautiful sheen as they catch the light.

The combination of burgundy painted wood and copper ink creates a sophisticated, cosy and lux Christmas feel. It’s a combination that will never go out of fashion and materials that will last a lifetime.

Made with sturdy plywood, high grade emulsion and gallery quality inks, the ornaments will last for years to come, ready to pass down as family heirlooms.

Being made of wood, they are safe to hang on a family tree and gorgeous too. Designs featured are a reindeer silhouette, a baby penguin (last year’s big seller) and my signature peacock feather. Choose one to be your family heirloom of the future or grab packs of all three to create a burgundy and copper theme this Christmas season.

How much do they cost?

Pack of 4 cards (one of each design) and gold gel pen = £10

Circular ornaments (10cm) = £12 each

Star Ornaments (8cm) = £8 each or 5 for £30
