Easter Lino Prints Workshop

Learn the therapeutic method of Lino carving and create a gorgeous easter themed print that will bring joy to your home.

 

In the session you’ll learn how to plan, carve and print your image using gouges and rollers. This is the same method that I use to create the artwork that I sell in galleries across the North East.

 

This event is for anyone aged 11 or over as sharp tools are used. The session is for a maximum of 8 people.

Create your own summer floral mini masterpiece. I’ll guide you through sketching from source photos (feel free to bring your own if you have specific flowers in mind), turning it into a design, transferring it to the Lino and carving. I’ll guide you through mixing the perfect inks and printing onto fabric.

You can either print on a tote bag, a cotton square or bring another fabric item to upgrade.

Drawing with Light - Creating atmospheric still life drawings with charcoal and chalk

Do you ever wish you’d learned to draw?

Would you love to take time out from your busy week and do something just for you?

'Drawing with Light’, hosted by Heather Moore (professional artist and teacher) and Claire Albans (Crafter extraordinaire and owner of Hello Hooray Studio), is an opportunity for you to slow down and learn some step by step drawing skills in a beautiful workshop setting.

What you get

In this two hour session, you will receive expert guidance from Heather Moore (a teacher with 16 years of experience). She will guide you through the basics of capturing a still life image using charcoal and chalk.

You’ll learn how to banish the white and draw by adding and removing charcoal. By the end of the session, you’ll have created a still life drawing that you can be proud of and will be raring to grab a sketchbook and keep going.

We’ll even do the cleaning up so you just get the fun bit.

Who is it for?

This workshop is suitable for people of all ages. All you need to be able to do is hold a pencil and use a rubber.

There is no artistic skill required prior to the workshop so there’s no need to be shy.

Christmas Printmaking Workshops

Workshop 1 - Adult Christmas Printmaking Workshop

In this session (suitable for 16yrs up) you will try your hand at lino cut techniques to create your very own Christmas print block. Then you will learn how to ink up and transfer your design to cards and wrapping paper. What better way to personalise your gifts this year?

Workshop 2 - Parent and Child Christmas Printmaking Workshop

This session is suitable for any child who can use a pencil and hold a small roller. Parents will supervise their child creating a print block with a press print tile and then guide them in inking up and transfer your design to cards and wrapping paper. Perfect for adding the cute factor to the grandparent’s gifts.
