Ouseburn Open Studios, Winter 2024
A visit to Ouseburn Open Studios is what got my art kick started again and within a year, I had started my business.
Whether you’re coming for inspiration, to satisfy your curiosity or to do some Christmas shopping, it’s a fabulous weekend filled with talented makers.
The whole valley opens up thew doors to artist and makers’ studios. Come and meet the artists and see where they work - pick their brains and enjoy seeing them creating.
Living North Live - Demonstrations
Living North LIVE is an incredible event where small businesses from across the north of England showcase their amazing products and services.
I will be demonstrating my Lino print process in 2 half hour slots on 19th April 2024:
1.30pm - Creating a Mini MasterpieceHeather Moore from The Peacock & The Printmaker takes you through the fascinating process of linocut from design to beautiful art piece. See how she carves intricate designs and creates joyful colour palettes. Then witness the magic of the peel back as the new print is revealed for the very first time.2.30pm - Printing Bespoke FabricsHeather Moore from The Peacock & The Printmaker shows how she teaches people to create their own bespoke fabric prints using hand carved lino blocks to build up pattern in joyful colours. Enjoy this calming process, picking up tips and tricks as you see the beautiful design created in real time.
Artisan Made UK 2024
Artisan Made UK (AMUK) began showcasing exceptional craft making talent from around the country in 2023. Now we're gearing up for our return in 2024
Based in North Yorkshire, Artisan Made UK takes place at Skipton Auction Mart and is run by the organisers of the long standing and well regarded Art in the Pen and Crafts in the Pen.
We pride ourselves on creating high quality events where creatives can showcase their talents to potential buyers. All of our exhibitors go through an application process to ensure only high quality, hand crafted work is on display.
Our unique venue provides affordable exhibition space. This means that Artisan Made UK is accessible to new and emerging talent who have previously found trade events cost prohibitive.

Ouseburn Open Studios, Winter Meet the Maker Sat 25th & Sun 26th Nov 2023
Come and explore the studios and galleries of the Ouseburn Valley in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is an opportunity to see where the artists create there beautiful works, talk to them about their practise and pick up something special - a perfect Christmas shopping opportunity.
Having just moved into B Box Studios, I will be taking part for the first time. I will have my limited edition artwork, sketchbooks, blocks and more on show as well as giving you the opportunity to use some of my Christmas carves to create your own card to take away.
Gathering @ Northern Print 15 November – 21 December
Northern Print’s final show of 2023 presents original prints by some of its 150 studio artists.
Gathering brings together the many people, ideas and prints that have contributed to the life of Northern Print over the last year. All works are available for sale with prices starting at just £20.
Cullercoats Arts and Crafts Market, October 2023
The Cullercoats Community Arts & Crafts collective is a group of over 100+ local creative businesses. Each month, usually the last Sunday of the month, we have an organised indoor market at the Cullercoats Crescent Club, upstairs in the Concert Room. There are over 30+ creative businesses selling - everything from artists, woodwork, glasswork, jewellery, photography, home decor, candles, scents, chocolate, honey, upcycled clothing, children's designer clothing, authors, illustrators, printers, and a mixture of beach and crafty finds.
OCTOBER fair sees a lovey mix of artists, artisan crafters and specialist food creators in the upstairs room of the Crescent Club - in the Concert Room. The room is easily accessible via stairs or a lift and is a bright and spacious room with over 30 stalls to wander around.
Warkworth Market - Troody Scrumptious Arts Markets
This fabulous market is run by Northumberland based maker, Troody Scrumptious. She has curated a market stuffed full of local artists and craftspeople showcasing talent from across the North East and set in the stunning location of Warkworth.

Samarivans Charity Auction in Aid of The Samaritans
Sarah Graham says ‘I came up with the idea for Samarivans to raise money for North Herts & Stevenage Samaritans, a charity close to my heart. I've been painting camper van stencils for a long time, and I've now asked artist friends and collaborators to put their own spin on my camper van design, creating their very own, unique Samarivan. I am so proud to be able to share these incredible works on my website, and so grateful to everyone who has been motivated to take part.’

A selection of amazing stallholders are coming together in the grounds of this lovely Ponteland Pub so come along and soak up the atmosphere, grab something beautiful and enjoy a drink and some food in the sun.
Makers Marketplace, Ormesby Hall NT
Make & Mend Festival is a day full of colour, creativity, positivity and wellbeing. It is the perfect introduction to a variety of crafts, giving you a chance to learn something new or enhance your existing skills. Each year we create a programme of wonderful workshops, designed to fuel your creative spirit and help you take valuable time for yourself. We curate a day where you can watch craft demonstrations, chill out with yoga, take part in drop-in activities, visit our maker marketplace offering a range of gorgeous products from local makers and of course, relax and enjoy some well-earned time for yourself.
The festival takes place in the beautiful grounds of Ormesby Hall in Redcar, the perfect backdrop for a day of self-care and relaxation. We hope you can join us next time and share our passion for crafting and our belief is that making is good for the soul.
I’ll have a stall on the Saturday but the festival will continue on the Sunday - including all the wonderful workshops.

I have been wanting to do this market for aaaaages. But haven’t been able to fit it in. It has an amazing reputation for high quality local produce and I’ll be there for the April market. I am part of the Mayfli community and we’ll be taking over the pop up shop next door to Pandora in Eldon Square for a whole week. I’ll be there on Saturday 8th April with a range of my prints, gifts and new reproductions. Come along and enjoy some shopping and chat.

Printmaking Exhibition - 1st April - 8th June
I am so excited to be collaborating with Gallery 45 in Felton and showing my work alongside Diana Fitzpatrick, Holly Scott, Heather Moore and Hannah Forsyth.
As part of the exhibition, there’ll be a Meet the Artists Coffee Morning April 15, 11:00-1:00. Free Entry and Refreshments. I’ll be there and would love to chat to you about my work and answer any questions you might have.
Easter Lino Prints Workshop
Learn the therapeutic method of Lino carving and create a gorgeous easter themed print that will bring joy to your home.
In the session you’ll learn how to plan, carve and print your image using gouges and rollers. This is the same method that I use to create the artwork that I sell in galleries across the North East.
This event is for anyone aged 11 or over as sharp tools are used. The session is for a maximum of 8 people.

Inspiration Women Artists Auction for Yellow Door with God's House Tower
All of the pieces on display will be sold in the silent auction with 50% of the sale going to Yellow Door, a Southampton-based charity that prevents and responds to domestic and sexual abuse.
Drawing Perfect Portraits
Have you ever wondered what the secret was to creating a realistic portrait?
This family friendly event is perfect to attend with a friend. Come along with your bestie and learn how to draw their face with my handy tips and tricks (Alternatively you could bring a photo with you).
In this session, I’ll teach you how to map out the features of the face and use tonal pencils to create shades and depth.

St Gabriel's Art Festival, St Gabriel's Church, Heaton
The Arts & Crafts festival is an annual event that showcases the wealth of local talent there is in Heaton. Crafters, printers, jewelers, painters, musicians and many more exhibit and run workshops all accompanied by music and refreshments served in the Vestry.
Printed Petals - A Lino Block Printing Workshop
Create your own summer floral mini masterpiece. I’ll guide you through sketching from source photos (feel free to bring your own if you have specific flowers in mind), turning it into a design, transferring it to the Lino and carving. I’ll guide you through mixing the perfect colours and refining you print.

Hadrian’s Wall 1900
This exhibition is a showcase of work from 60 artists gathered from three different prints studios covering 80 miles of Hadrian’s Wall
Each artist was given a Roman mile of wall to visit and study and responded in their own form of print
The exhibition shows all of the pieces in mile order and celebrates the history of the wall and wealth of creativity in printmaking
